Due to an error, self-absorbed Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell) arrives at ‘The Good Place’ after her death. Determined to stay, she tries to become a better person.

Honestly, it’s been a while since I’ve been so excited for a TV show like this one. At first I was unsure, it’s not your typical show after all, but as I watched more I became totally entranced. It’s funny, surprising, original and shocking (in a good way)!

Kristen is the best pick for her role as Eleanor, she’s funny without being forced and she’s totally believable in her role of shitty-person-seeking-redemption. William Jackson plays her Ethics, indecisive, teacher who is trying to show her HOW to be a good person so she deserved to stay. Jameela, plays Tahani, an annoying and condescending but totally sweet person seeking for approval of others. Manny is Jianyu, a silent Buddhist monk, who changes dramatically by episode 3. And D’Arcy is a hilarious Janet! The robotic and helpful A.I. of their neighborhood in ‘The Good Place’, one of my favorite characters, actually! And of course, Ted Danson plays Michael, the nice architect of their neighborhood who loves the place he created and the humans in it and is trying his best at his new idea of being an active part of their after-life. Everyone truly plays their character with talent and great subtleties.

Created by Michael Schur, part of the team that brought you Parks and Recreation, this show is a MUST watch! With 20-ish minutes episodes and frustratingly good cliffhangers, you need to check it out. And I bet that by the end of Season 1 you won’t regret watching it!
