If you are coming to Rio de Janeiro there is a restaurant that I recommend if you are out with your friends and aren’t especifically looking for a brazillian experience;

Guacamole! A lovely mexican themed restaurant at R. Jardim Botânico, 129.

With your tipically delicious mexican food going from flautas to churros there’s an option for everyone even those who can’t handle hot food.

There is also a couple of atractions like being waited on by one of the popular characters in the mexican hit show Chavo or Chaves in Portuguese. Or getting a Tequila shot by the ‘tequilero’ a guy dressed and armed with his tequila and countless glass shots. He will also shake your head if you allow him giving that extra kick to the alcohol. Although I definitely recommend, it’s not for the weak unless you are feeling adventurous.

There is also the mariachi that make their round singing random music – from Mexican to Italian. You will have a blast if you don’t mind paying 10 reais as an entrance for the casual show.

The ambient is great, you get a true bonding feeling with the whole restaurant that can even end with you dancing the macarena with strangers and taking selfies with huge sombreros before leaving.

Guacamole is a great place if you want to enjoy good food and have a blast!
