INTRODUCING: POLYVORE
So, since I am hosting the diva challenge, which is heavily based on polyvore, I thought why not introduce this awesome website/app on the blog? I confess even though I’ve been a member for over 4 years (gasp!) I never explored it beyond being an easy outfit maker. I realize now what a mistake that was because polyvore can be a great social platform of the likes of pinterest.
Creating your profile is really easy, you can add your website and also connect to your facebook and twitter. It’s great if you have a fashion blog because if someone likes your style they can easily follow you on other social media platforms too!
It is also a great shopping app if not a terrible bank breaker. You can save items by liking and then easily find the store and price – or cry when you realize how expensive something is. Plus, if you have difficulty styling one specific item in your closet you can simply search for it – or add it with the clipper – and try different things out to find what looks best! It will save you a lot of time.
Searching for an items is super easy. Once you click on a category you can narrow it down by color, designer, and type of garment. Although I have to point out that I find the phone app much easier to do that.
And you can do fun things with your sets too – you can participate in contests or upload them to groups. Which is a great way to put your design skills out there.
And don’t think that it is just for fashion. No! You can create almost anything with it, but the main points are definitely clothing and house decór.
SHARING
If you want to share a set, polyvore easily helps you with that. You can directly post it to pinterest, facebook, tumblr and twitter. But what I adore is the html feature they have for blogs, you can easily add it to a post and show-off your beautiful collage, like such:
