Frong: A front thong. Swimsuit that ride high up on the hip bones.

The high cut swimwear and leotards were huge back in the 80’s. Just take a look at the iconic Baywatch swimsuit. Remember that? And what about those “wonderful” workout bodysuits? Yep, all that is no longer staying in the past. They are back and with a new nickname; the Frong. Why? Because they have come back a lot more extreme!

Just take a look at some of the celebrities rocking it…. Khloe Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Nikki Minaj, Beyoncé… just to name a few! Oh, and don’t forget that Miley Cyrus basically lives in one nowadays.

There is one positive about the frong, making your hips rounder. With the current obsession for big booties and hips, it doesn’t surprise me that celebs have been adopting the trend (see Kylie Jenner and her several swimsuit selfies). It’s no longer about hiding but showing off! Plus, it makes your legs look longer by not cutting them off right at the end of the thigh area.

Let’s see the difference properly?

There are a couple of things you need to know when wearing something like this, especially if you plan on swimming, because things could get awkward….

First of all, you need to be clean shaved/waxed down there or EVERYTHING will spill out.

Second, you might not only be rocking a lovely camel toe, but a full frontal wedgie after swimming.

Third, tanning lines! If you are used to wearing normal low bikini bottoms, you might be showing some weird tan lines. And if not, wear sunscreen to avoid high up tan lines.

Last but not least! You gotta be confident! People will be looking at you. Frongs are a bold choice.

Well, personally I wouldn’t quite wear it. At least not super high, especially because of the negatives. But what do you think? Flattering? Should it stay in the past? Let me know!
